History
Tula lost her parents soon after her birth. She was found and adopted by one of the royal families of Atlantis.
Given the title of Princess of Poseidonis, Tula was schooled in Atlantean traditions. She never left the royal palace until she was 15, when she met Aqualad. The two were complete opposites from each other, but they fell in love regardless.
Tula would sometimes help Aqualad with missions during his time with the Teen Titans; she also became an honorary member. She took the name Aquagirl to honor her boyfriend as well as Aquaman. When Aquaman left his throne to search for his then-missing wife Mera, Tula played an important role in Atlantis. Atlantis was ruled by Nakran in Aquaman's absence, and he ruled Atlantis as a dictatorship. His reign fell only when Tula led a rebellion against him. Tula continued her life after this, resuming her life with Garth when he returned to Atlantis. She continued to be an ally to Garth and the Teen Titans. She and Garth aided the Titans in bringing down the H.I.V.E. once and for all.
Aquagirl was killed by the villain Chemo after she drowned in water that he poisoned.
She was brought back by Brother Blood - along with Hawk and Dove, Phantasm, and Kole - to fight against the Teen Titans. After being freed by Beast Boy and Raven, Kid Eternity was able to lay the deceased Titans back to rest.
A statue of Tula was built in the "Hall of Fallen Titans" at Titans Tower, alongside the original Hawk and Dove, Kole and others.
