History
The cartoon version of Cyborg is very similar to his comic book counterpart. The two main differences are his appearance and that he's less serious as the show normally has a much lighter tone than the comics. His head is considerably more rounded, and his mechanical parts are hulkier, but not overwhelming.
Of course, in the animated series he's never referred to by his name. However he does take the alias "Stone" in the Season Three episode "Deception". He is known to have a love of video games and is often seen battling Robin or Beast Boy in either a fighting or racing game. Cyborg also had a big crush on the H.I.V.E.'s Jinx, and later has a brief relationship with Sarasim, a warrior from the distant past. A former athlete (just like in the comics), his victories are often accompanied by a resounding "BOO-YAH!" Brother Blood acted as his nemesis in Season Three.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Cybernetic Exoskeleton: Cyborg's abilities/offensive attacks include two Sonic Cannons (one in each arm), a smaller sonic blaster located in his left foot, two sets of missile launchers (one in each shoulder), super-strength, high-end sensor and communication technology, and can also produce several different tools (a saw, a welding torch, a buffer, etc.) from his arms. At one point, he installed a super-processor chip called the Maximum-7 to further increase his abilities, but an overload forced Robin to remove it.
Abilities
- Mechanical Engineering: By necessity, Cyborg is an expert in the field of mechnical engineering. In addition to maintaining his own cybernetic systems, Cyborg also invented his own car, which he dubbed the "T-Car".
- Perpetual Appetite: Cyborg is without a doubt the hungriest of the Titans and is capable of consuming more food than his physical size would suggest. His preferred snack is pizza, but he will enjoy just about anything. He once competed against the cave boy Gnarrk in an eating contest and surprisingly beat him. [1]
- Carousing: Cyborg enjoys his free time almost as much as he enjoys fighting evil. Whenever the opportunity for recreation presents itself, Cyborg can usually be found sitting on the couch at Titans Tower playing a video game. Fellow Titan Beast Boy is known to give Cyborg a run for his money when it comes to video games, but invariably, Cyborg almost always comes out victorious.
