Powers and Abilities
Powers
Telepathy: As a side-effect of being fused with the meteor rock, Gnarrk developed a psychic rapport with Lilith Clay. It is possible that the meteor also granted Gnarrk other psionic abilities, but what these powers may have been has never been revealed.
Abilities
Although Gnarrk was often considered dim-witted and savage, he was actually quite perceptive of the world around him. Interfacing with the meteor rock expanded his consciousness and increased his intellect far beyond that of a normal Cro-magnon era humanoid. The more time he spent with the Titans, the further his intelligence developed, and he was able to successfully function in social environments.
Strength level
Peak Human: Due to his evolution, Gnarrk possessed the strength level of man his physical age, size and weight who engaged in intensive regular exercise. This was a natural aptitude of being a Cro-magnon and Gnarrk did not require an exercise regiment in order to maintain his strength.
Weaknesses
None known.
Paraphernalia
Equipment: Crystallized meteor fragment imbedded in his chest.
Transportation: None known.
Weapons: None known.
Notes
- No special notes.
Trivia
- Gnarrk is the only associate of the Teen Titans (alive at the time) who did not attend the wedding of Donna Troy and Terry Long.
Appearances in Other Media
Gnarrk appeared in the fifth season episode of the Teen Titans animated series, entitled "Kole" where he was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. He lived in the Arctic Circle with his best friend, Kole, in a vast series of underground caverns that are inhabited by prehistoric creatures. All Gnarrk could say was, "gnarrk", yet Kole could understand him and communicate with him quite well. He also seemed to have a crush on her as he was seen blushing around her on few occasions. He helped the Titans stop Doctor Light when he attempted to kidnap Kole. Cyborg was never able to pronounce his name right (but did in "Calling all Titans"), and always had to be corrected by Kole or his teammates. Gnarrk and Kole were overpowered by Gizmo and Billy Numerous in "Calling All Titans", but some quick thinking by Kole ended up saving the day. They were part of a group of reinforcements that come to rescue Beast Boy, Pantha, Más, the Herald and Jericho from the Brotherhood of Evil. The first villain they take out is the Ding Dong Daddy. They end up helping to defeat the villains and save the day.
