At some point in his life, the Earth-2 Jason Garrick developed superhuman speed and adopted a known coestumed career as the Flash. However, unlike the elder Garrick of New Earth, this Garrick is much younger, just now entering his middle age and has no grey hair at all, indicating that he started his costumed career much later than the World War II Garrick. Over some period of time as a costumed adventurer, Garrick of Earth-2 has learned to manifest and control his power in very specific manners, as evident where he is able to focus his speed power to just one portion of his body in far excessive levels than the rest of his body to increase his effectiveness such as in punching. It seems based on the amount of information presented that the Earth-2 Garrick has been succeeded by another speedster in that specific title on Earth-2 as he does not let anyone of the amassed heroes address him as Flash, but specifically as "Jay Garrick" suggesting that he is no longer the current holder of that title.

History

The exact history how the Jay Garrick of Earth-2 became the Flash and specific background have yet to be revealed at present.

It is also noted that the Earth-2 Garrick, like his New Earth counterpart, is insistent on acting by "good manners" despite being based on some dated concepts such as women needing protection which can be used against him by people who will take advantage of his civiliarous nature.

Garrick was recently kidnapped by the Monarch to compete in a multi-dimensional tournament to determine the most powerful of the primary superpowered beings of the 52 multiverse in a battle against the Monitors who the Monarch believes will be directly destroying many of the populated Earths. Garrick was defeated in battle with the Earth-3's Johnny Quick and imprisoned.

Garrick of Earth-2 defeated mostly by his own chivilary as he attempts to safeguard the life of the young Earth-3 villian Johnny Quick (Countdown Arena 3, page 18 and 24)

Garrick has since returned to his source Earth and is helping return Kara-L to her source Earth against the arrogance of his former allies and successors in the Justice Society Infinity.

Abilities

Garrick of Earth-2 possesses many superhuman abilities due to his control of his ability to generate and move at superhuman speed such as his ability to augment his strenth to far greater levels by concenetrating his speed into one area of his body for effect. The exact level of Garrick's generation and control are unknown at present.

Strength level

Garrick of Earth-2 possesses obvious superhuman strength to endure the wind sheer he generates at superhuman speed but how much more than peak human strength is unknown.

Weaknesses

Garrick of Earth-2 possesses most of the normal weaknesses of a human male though can probably contain these limitations such as lack of oxygen, pressure endurance etc. for far longer than an average human male

Notes

• The Earth-2 Garrick is officially retired from the Justice Society and being the Flash though still occasionally engages in active heroing. It is clear that there was a falling out between Garrick, Fate and Spectre and the successor group Justice Society Infinity though specific details of this disruption have not be revealed at this time.

• The Earth-2 Garrick is middle aged, but has not started to grey in his hair yet, making him far younger than the DC Primary Earth Garrick.

• It is not specified yet who is the current Flash of Earth-2 as Garrick states others are to address him as "Jay Garrick", and not the Flash.
  

Trivia

Garrick of Earth-2 wears a modified version of the DC Primary Earth Garrick 1970s costume which has Errol Flynn "swashbuckler" boots and non emblemed (no lightening bolt on the side) blue pants. Also it seems that the wings on the Earth-2 Garrick's helmet are smaller like the way most artists depicted the 1970s Garrick, as opposed to the traditional ankle height booties with wings and lightening side pants that the former Earth-Two and New Earth Garrick usually was shown wearing, though does wears a similar modified World War I doughboy helmet with small wings as opposed to the large Mercury-like fully head covering helmet.
