History
The Hall of Justice served as the central headquarters of the Super Friends. The primary chamber of the Hall of Justice was a large meeting room with a rectangular conference table and specially marked chairs designating various members of the Super Friends.
The wall of the chamber was lined with a massive computer terminal system, where the Super Friends could keep abreast of emergencies taking place across the globe. The Hall of Justice computer system was networked to a dedicated satellite (simply labeled JL Satellite), which enabled them to view live activity taking place at any location in the world. Should an emergency arise, the monitoring station would activate a Troubalert , which would then broadcast the images directly to individual members of the team. The Super Friends could also use the Hall's monitoring station to communicate with law enforcement officials and even high-ranking members of the Armed Services.
In addition to the advanced computer terminal, the Hall of Justice was also equipped with a Translocation Chamber, which could teleport members of the Super Friends to any desired location on Earth. The Translocation Chamber was similar in function to the teleportation devices used by the Justice League of America.
The Hall of Justice was also equipped with several sub-levels, with vaults for containing recovered items such as samples of Kryptonite. The sub-levels also provided egress to surrounding bodies of water allowing Aquaman the ability to come and go with ease. It also housed Aquaman's jetski. The Hall also contained an access way that allowed Batman and Robin to drive the Batmobile back and forth unseen.
The evil counterpart to the Hall of Justice was the Hall of Doom, a submersible mobile headquarters owned by Lex Luthor and the twelve other super-villains which comprised the Legion of Doom. Members of the Legion of Doom often attempted to infiltrate and/or destroy the Hall of Justice, and although they came close to success on many occasions, they were never truly able to defeat the combined might of the Super Friends.
In an alternate future reality, the Legion of Doom actually do succeed in destroying the Hall of Justice, but thanks to the aid of three time travelers from the future, the Super Friends manage to prevent this post-apocalyptic era from ever coming to pass.
Notes
- The concept behind the Hall of Justice was first developed by Hanna-Barbera for the 1973 Super Friends animated series.
- The location of the Hall of Justice was said to be in Metropolis during the television series, however the Super Friends comic book revealed that it is located in Gotham City.[1]

Trivia
- In 1976, the Mego Corporation produced a Hall of Justice action playset for use with their superhero line of 8" action figures. The illustration used on the packaging was drawn by artist Neal Adams.
- The Justice League Satellite as seen on the Super Friends television series, is simply a highly advanced, yet unmanned communications satellite, and should not be confused with the satellite headquarters, used by the Justice League of America in the 1970s and 80s.
